How to Make the Best Vodka Martini

How to make the perfect Vodka martini!
Let's face it....even the most highly rated vodka, when served and imbibed at room temperature, leaves a lot to be desired. Vodka is made to be enjoyed in a chilled state - and not necessarily "on the rocks", but down-right, wicked COLD!
The secret to a truly enjoyable and refreshing martini is using totally chilled ingredients. To do this, keep your favorite brand of vodka in the freezer, and you'll always be ready to make the perfect martini! I prefer Sobieski - rated right up there with the more expensive brands, but Skyy, Tanqueray, and Vikingfjord are all somewhat similar and well-suited . The best rule of thumb - drink what you like, and like what you drink!
Vermouth is optional, but if this is your preference for your drink, be sure to use a smooth-tasting brand. Again - drink what you like, and like what you drink.

  1. Fill martini glass with ice (or place in freezer for several minutes).
  2. Remove glass from freezer, empty ice.
  3. Pour vermouth into martini glass.
  4. Pour vodka into martini glass.
  5. Choose a garnish and place inside martini glass.
  6. Serve, kick-back, and enjoy immediately!
